Financial Support Programs
Made possible by the generosity of donors and our dedicated staff, our Financial Support Programs provide financial assistance for cancer patients in need.
When a person is diagnosed with cancer there can be so much focus on the medical aspect of the disease that oftentimes the emotional, spiritual and even financial aspects can be overlooked. The Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center believes this supportive care is equally important to a person’s recovery.
The Spirit Fund helps ensure cancer patients in financial need have access to services and supplies essential to their recovery and peace of mind. This fund most commonly assists with transportation and basic living needs.
Strands of Strength is a program to specifically assist with the costs of wigs for those who experience hair loss.
The Family Care Program provides assistance specifically to our patients who have children in their home as it recognizes the need to address the financial and quality of life needs of the entire family.
Eligibility for assistance from our financial support programs are based partially on income and are evaluated annually. Individuals requesting assistance from our financial support programs meet with a Coordinator and/or Oncology Social Worker to assure appropriate community resources are identified and utilized, in addition to support from our financial support programs.
To learn more or to find out if you qualify, contact the Care Coordinator at (319) 369-7116 or email.
