Muhammad Ali Shah recently joined the team at the Nassif Community Cancer Center as a medical physicist. In his role, Shah works behind-the-scenes at the Nassif Radiation Center to ensure the radiation machines are working optimally and safely for patients. Why did you choose to go into your field?
It combined my favorite subject and my love for fellow human beings.
What qualities best describe the care you provide?
I work on the machines to the best of my knowledge and abilities. I do not cut corners and I want patients to feel safe and comfortable when they are getting treatment on my machines.
What drives/motivates you each day?
To do better and improve the quality of care we provide. There is always room for improvement.
What is the most important message you would like to share with patients?
I would like my patients to know that my work on the machines is second-to-none, and they are getting the best treatment in the available resources.
