Licensed Masters of Social Work

Brittany Greig, LMSW, is one of the oncology social workers at the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center. Brittany earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Master of Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. Brittany is certified in conflict resolution.

Brittany chose to be a social worker because she wanted to help improve the quality of life for patients by connecting them to resources in their local community. When asked to describe the care she gives her patients Brittany said, “As a social worker, I provide empathetic listening to all my patients. I strive to look at the big picture to ensure I am meeting the patient where they are at.”

As a social worker, Brittany is motivated each day by her desire to learn more about community resources so she can better serve her patients. The message Brittany wants patients to know is, “My patients can be open, honest and comfortable when talking with me. I will always provide a listening ear for any concerns big or small.”

In her free time Brittany enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with family and playing with her goldendoodle named Obi.

Feedback from our patients:

“The social workers went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed to get through treatment financially, mentally, socially and physically. They helped me get winter clothing, wigs, acupuncture and food. They made getting through treatment much easier.”
